Our 1st ever emcee-ing cum singing gig for the opening ceremony of Heartland Fiesta 2009. Ganjiong to the max.. we slept at an averge time of 2plus, 3am for most of the weeknights leading to this event for preparation.. but as Loreal would say.. it was all worth it. Here are some pics:
"Lei dei YEAH mmmmmm YEAHHHHH!!!!!"
We had to go down the stage to 'corner' this contestant,
who later turned out to be (sobz!) our biggest supporter of the night!
The guys that made it all happen: Jimmy and Randy!! You guys literally kicked balls sia!!!!
Introducing the mascot for the Youth Olympics Games - Frasia!!!!
(the name basically means Friends of Asia)
Pity the guy inside the suit though. It was sweltering hot and he had to stay inside this mask and he was really professional - He stayed in his character and kept bouncing to the music, obliging us for a photo-taking session with the public.
Vic and I sang 5 songs between us. The best part of the night for me was the aunty (above) whom we cornered for the games segment. At the end of the 4th song, she came up to us to tell us that she was about to leave but really loved our singing, so she decided to stay. In fact, her reason for coming up to us was to ask us if we will be still singing anymore. If we are, she would stay till the end of that song and then leave... Wa... I'm really touched by her support ley, though we don't even know her. We told her about our upcoming one at People's Park Complex and she was like.. quite onz! PLS CAN WE INVITE HER TO CCH?????
