Grace (a little meditation on financial prosperity)

I don't know why, but I woke up this morning thinking about grace.

Grace is an action word.  It is not passive. 
Jesus died on the cross.
We confess with our mouth when we believe.
 

It moves, in a forward direction.  

God reached towards us by sending His son.  

We reach towards Him by believing in our hearts.   

Grace moves forward. It doesn't stay still.  It does not move backwards.  

That's why Paul asked rhetorically:
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?" ~Rom 6:1-2

Now, if grace is the supernatural ability beyond our own strength to do God's will:

Salvation - 

We confess with our mouth (action) , and believe with our hearts (moving forward).

Financial abundance - 

We sow our seeds (action), and allow the seeds to 'die' in the ground without digging it up and keeping them in our hands and 'forget about' what we've sown (moving forward).

Ask any farmer, and he will tell you that he does not stop and stare at the ground which he has just sown a seed, waiting for it to grow into a plant.  He moves forward, planting more seeds, and he doesn't stop until the entire field is planted with the seeds in his hand.  He does not worry about what he has put into the ground, because even though he does not know how, he does know that one day his seeds will yield their crops in due season.

Do you need the supernatural ability beyond your own strength to do His will today, financially?

Keep sowing.  Keep moving forward.  Do not stop.  Do not look back.  Do not lose heart. 

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." ~2 Cor 9:8
