Sharing some classic moments in CGM last nite:
Scene 1:
We were all introducing ourselves to the newcomers. Somebody started off in a foreign language, and so the rest all tried to speak a different language when it was their turn. So we had like Hokkien, Cantonese, Malay, Chinese, Japanese.. until Lyn introduced herself.
Lyn: Je m'appelle Lynette.
(moment of awed silence from everyone)
CGL: What was that???
Lyn: French!
(another moment of awed silence from everyone)
Me: *worships* Oh ho ho hoho..... I'm not worthy!!!!
Scene 2:
CGL: Lets have Jo to read Mark 7:34 for us.
Jo: "And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and said unto him......" (long pause)..... how to pronounce this word huh?
(the word in question was "Ephphatha". Don't laugh. You try to pronounce it yourself 1st.)
CGL: (takes a look at the bible and smiles) .. you can speak in tongues.
Me: (aloud) Shakarabahai
(looks down at my bible and realise that I've accidentally provided a translation for 'Shakarabahai'. That verse read "Ephphatha, that is, 'Be opened'..")
Jokes aside, it was a tremendous cgm last nite. JX preached fantastic and spoke many things that really wowed me, and, without expounding too much here, really brought encouragement and comfort.
I'm just very blessed that God has placed sharp people in my life.
